61st Annual Edgerton Dutch Festival: July 9 & 10, 2010

The theme for this year's festival weekend is Dutch Heritage
While you're enjoying the events, be sure to stop by the food stands
in the City Park for a terrific meal! There will be homemade BBQs,
hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream and lots of pie choices.
There will also be a concession stand and beer garden
at the motocross event and the bull riding.
And don't forget to come out for pancakes and sausage on Saturday morning.
Proceeds will go to support the Edgerton Fire and Ambulance Departments.
This year's activities will include:
FRIDAY'S EVENTS
4:00 - 5:00pm Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest on Main Street (meet in front of NAPA store)
2:30 - 10:00pm Motocross Racing Finals (see www.midwestsupercross.com for details)
7:00pm Parade

SATURDAY'S EVENTS
7:00 - 10:00am Pancake Breakfast at City Park (sponsored by the Edgerton Ambulance & Fire Departments)
8:00am Dutch Festival Fun Run; register at www.allsportcentral.com or contact Bonnie DeBoer
(631-3993) or Marjean Ossefort (442-5000) for details. Includes a 5k walk, 5k run and a 10k run.
10:00am Kids Pedal Tractor Pull (ages 4-11) at tennis courts
11:30am Soap Box Derby races (contact Scott Bloemendaal at 507-227-3674 for details). Takes place on
Mill Street hill.
12:00 - 2:00pm Swimming events at the Edgerton Public Pool
12:00pm 3 on 3 basketball tournament at Dutchmen's Den (free admission; cash prizes awarded). Contact

1:30 - 4:00pm Car Show (to register, contact Mike Berghorts at 507-442-5571or hemihead@live.com)
2:00 - 4:00pm Fishing contest at Rock River Park (ages 14 and under). Contact Craig Fey at 507-227-6342 for
more information.
3:30 - 9:30pm Children's Inflatables at the Edgerton City Park (cost is $10 per child)
4:30 - 5:30pm Music in the Park: "Voices of Faith" (ladies sextet from Inwood, IA); takes place at the
City Park; free admission; bring a lawn chair and enjoy!
5:30 - 6:30pm Music in the Park: Family & Friends of Ron Christians. Takes place at the City Park.

8:30pm Great Frontier Bull Riding
10:00-10:30pm Fireworks (after the bull riding event is over) at the City Ball Fields
